It is always a good idea to have your Buyer’s Agent with you before entering into a New Construction contract. The builder’s agent represents the seller (the builder), they will not be looking out for the buyer’s best interests. You will be inundated with many choices for selections of materials and decisions to be made – and it’s helpful to have an unbiased advocate with you. There are lot premiums and such that can add on to the base price of that new home.
There are additional meetings to attend, and many times for my out of town clients, I act on their behalf in their absence.
